Bollywood wedding: Esha Deol’s wedding attires a blend of north and south

Dream girl Hema Malini is busy these days with the grand wedding of her daughter Esha Deol, which is on June 29. Esha will marry her fiancé Bharat Takhtani at a temple, in Mumbai. So, what the bride will wear on the W-day?

Hema Malini’s good friend Neeta Lulla and her daughter Nishka Lulla have been approached to design wedding trousseau for Esha Deol. Earlier when Esha got engaged to Bharat, she went for a net saree with heavy embroidery on the border and accessorized with traditional mang-tika and jhumkas. In fact, Neeta and Nishka will also design splendid outfits for Hema and choti beti Ahana Deol.

It’s learnt that Esha’s wedding ensembles will be a blend of South Indian and North Indian styles. The outfit for the temple wedding is a bridal-red creation made from a Kanjeevaram sari, loaded with embroidery. Mom Hema Malini like a true Tamil lady will go for traditional Kanjeevaram saris for all the wedding ceremonies. For the reception, Hema will dress in a soft ivory-gold sari with Swarovski embroidery that adds a western touch to an Indian ensemble.

Since Ahana’s dressing sense is more fun and quirky, her clothes for elder sister’s wedding will reflect her style and thus will be in keeping with the Indian theme but will have a contemporary touch, all more colourful to suit her age and personality.

Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani are going to have a simple and private wedding ceremony in a temple. It will be attended by only close family members. On June 30 there will be a grand reception party for relatives and friends from the industry, and before the big day there will be mehendi and sangeet functions.
