Love in high plateau! Shahrukh and Katrina to shoot in Ladakh, come winters!

Shahrukh Khan’s date with Kashmir valley to shoot the Yash Chopra film stands annulled. Rather, the superstar and his co-star Katrina Kaif will shoot in the high plateau region of Ladakh.
Yash Chopra is known to film his movies at beautiful locations. He captured the beauty of Kashmir in his all-time classic love saga Kabhie Kabhie in 1976, but thereafter shifted his attention to the Swiss Alps. The Bollywood veteran was set to return to Kashmir to shoot the climax of his yet-untitled film starring Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.
The plan, to shoot the film in winters when Kashmir is snowed in, has been scuttled because Shahrukh Khan suggested Ladakh as the venue for the shoot.
It’s learnt that the superstar has some fond memories of the high, dusty and sparsely populated Ladakh where he shot Mani Ratnam’s film Dil Se.
Shahrukh’s wish has been heeded to as the official spokesperson of Yash Raj Films has confirmed that a ten-day schedule to shoot the climax of the film will be held in Ladakh during the winter season.
Since Katrina Kaif happens to be the leading lady, she will almost certainly be a part of the schedule.
Ladakh lies to the east of Kashmir valley and is a high plateau with barren but beautiful mountains. The climax of Aamir Khan’s runaway blockbuster 3 Idiots was shot in Leh, the largest town in Ladakh.
