The makers of Jism 2 were keeping their fingers crossed for an A certificate that too without cuts, but the Censor Board is not willing to certify the film. The board is apprehensive of certain lovemaking scenes in the film featuring Sunny Leone, and wants to cut them short.
As a daily reports, Pooja Bhatt was sent home as CBFC has refused to certify the film, saying they find it way too explicit. The board has demanded that the director tone down all lovemaking scenes in the film by at least 50 per cent. Does that mean chopping the scenes to half?
According to a member of the board who was speaking to a daily, “There is no frontal nudity but kaafi explicit hai. Hence, we did not issue a certificate. We will certify the film only when Pooja returns with the modified version, which should have the intimate scenes cut to half their length.” Obviously, the movie will get an ‘A’ certificate but only when Pooja Bhatt edits the racy scenes in question.
It’s learnt that the movie has four steamy lovemaking scenes and all have Sunny Leone in them. The problem is not with the scenes, but their length. The Censor board pointed out that all the four scenes are too long and will have to be cut short so that their impact is diluted.
Pooja Bhatt has already sorted out what she needs to do with Jism 2. She tells the daily that Censor board has raised objection to certain scenes where semi nudity is involved. Pooja says she will introduce close-ups instead of wide-angle shots to show less skin.
She’s okay with certain changes and will soon meet the board with her movie.
