Salman Khan’s most awaited film Ek Tha Tiger looks set to break all box office records. The advance booking for the film is on and the tickets are selling like hot cakes.
The multiplexes in metropolises like Mumbai and Delhi are screening additional shows of the Kabir Khan-directed Ek Tha Tiger on Wednesday with the first show starting as early as 8 am. While almost all PVR cinemas in Mumbai are running 10 shows per day, the Satyam cineplexes in Delhi are running a whopping 23 shows per day, with the last show as late at 11.15 pm.
The sale of tickets in Delhi is particularly very good, and several PVRs are reporting housefull for morning shows. Since two more days remain for the film’s release, the evening shows are also going to be a sell-out.
With such hype and hoopla surrounding the film, it is expected to break all box office records during the 5-day weekend that begins Wednesday. The Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif pairing is doubtlessly pulling the crowd in the opening days, but the film’s long run will depend on its merit.
Ek Tha Tiger has Salman Khan playing a RAW agent and Katrina Kaif his love interest. Produced by Aditya Chopra, the film is expected to storm into the Rs. 100 crore club in just about a week, if not earlier.
