Bipasha Basu’s character in ‘Raaz 3’ based on Ameesha Patel?
Bipasha Basu is playing her career’s most challenging role in Raaz 3. The actress, who plays a jealous and frustrated heroine in the film, will also be shown doing black magic. That’s interesting! but her character of a disturbed top actress who has green eyes for her contemporary is said to have taken a bit from the actress Ameesha Patel’s life.

Directed by Vikram Bhatt, Bipasha’s role is apparently inspired from none other than his ex-flame Ameesha Patel. It can be recalled that Vikram and Ameesha had a turbulent love affair in the past which led to their bitter separation.

As Vikram Bhatt tells a tabloid, “Well, all I can say is, all art is finally cannibalised from one's personal experiences. When I was with Ameesha, both of us were going through a career low. I’ve seen how failure affects people.”

Producer Mahesh Bhatt can also see the similarities. Mahesh Bhatt concedes that Vikram had a tumultuous affair with Ameesha, and he also talks about the insecurity - the integral part of any actress’ life as her shelf life is limited. Thus they took the basic idea of the insecurities that creep up on an actress after a few years in the business, and built on her desperation to chalk out the plot of Raaz 3.

The film shows Bipasha’s character urging her director (Emraan Hashmi) into wrong-doings. Later, she in her desperation to retain her stardom she begins worshiping Satan and practices black magic on her younger rival, played by Esha Gupta.

The actress in question, Ameesha Patel, chose not to comment on the matter.
