|Call it a surprise or a shock, the advance bookings for Aamir Khan’s thriller Talaash has started. In a unique way of creating hype, the makers have started selling the tickets of the film, releasing on November 30, much in advance.
Yes, you read it right. Talaash is one of the most-awaited films of the year, and for those who were wondering whether Aamir Khan would be further postponing it, here is some good news. The film’s release is fixed and that’s November 30, and there are no chances of it getting delayed further.
Now, the makers have opened the advance booking in selected theatres when the film is still over 100 days away. As per insiders, “Never before has this happened for any Bollywood film but perhaps this is Aamir’s way of making an announcement quite loud and clear.”
Though the movie’s promotions are yet to start, the insiders claim that opening up advance bookings is a nice way for producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani to gauge the audience’s curiosity about the film.
In Hollywood, this is already a trend for big releases, but in India it’s new. Aamir Khan is known for his unique publicity stunts for his films, and Talaash is no different.
Directed by Reema Kagti, the movie stars Rani Mukherjee along with Kareena Kapoor; and now when Aamir is through with his TV show, expect the promotions of the film to kick start anytime soon. The actor, by the way, is presently in Chicago shooting for Dhoom 3.
