The film is set to enter the 100 crore club in the shortest time yet for any Bollywood movie. After a record breaking start on Wednesday with a collection of 32.90 crore, the business did dip on Thursday by more than 50 percent to 14.50 crore and slid further on Friday to Rs 12.80 crore. The downslide was arrested on Saturday when the collections showed an upward trend with a figure of Rs. 16.80 crore.
The four-day aggregate of Ek Tha Tiger stands at approximately Rs. 77 crore. As per early estimates the film is going to end up between Rs. 92 crore to Rs. 95 crore by the end of its five-day weekend.
Which means that the film is on the cusp of entering the Rs. 100 crore club, a feat it will definitely achieve on Monday.
Overseas as well, the response to Ek Tha Tiger has been good, though it is banned in Pakistan where it was expected to make Rs. 10 crore.
Starring Salman Khan as a RAW agent and Katrina Kaif as an ISI spy, Ek Tha Tiger has broken the record for the highest first extended weekend at box office.
