|While there are talks of the Hollywood star Ashton Kutcher arriving in India to shoot for the Steve Jobs biopic, it seems the actor has already sneaked into the country with the media being unaware.
A photo showing Kutcher (in blue kurta) walking through the crowded streets of Old Delhi has already gone viral on the web after appearing on the Facebook page I Love New Delhi. The photo was reportedly snapped near Jama Masjid.
According to a report, Ashton Kutcher is in India since Monday and has been discreetly shooting for the film at a Safdarjang madrasa. He reportedly also canned a few shots in Vrindavan, a few hours’ drive from Delhi. He’s also been spotted at The Claridges Hotel in central Delhi. Reports say Kutcher is accompanied on India trip by his dad Larry, apart from the film’s director Joshua Michael Stern.
In the movie, Ashton Kutcher plays the Apple founder Steve Jobs.
Steve Jobs’ India connection is that he, along with a friend, came to India in 1974 to seek out a renowned seer named Neem Karoli Baba. However, the Baba passed away before Jobs could meet him. Thereafter, Jobs went in search of another sage named Hariakhan Baba. During this seven month stay in India, Steve Jobs travelled via public transport, fell sick to dysentery, trekked into the mountains of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
The biopic will also be shot in Jharkhand and Agra.
