With Shirish Kunder’s Joker being slammed left, right and centre by critics, the news of his ouster from producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s film Kick led to the speculation that Shirish was booted out of the project. However, Salman Khan, the film’s leading star, has now cleared the air.
Salman Khan took to Twitter to clarify that Shirish Kunder wasn’t told to leave the project by anyone, but chose to opt out on his own volition.
“No that's nt true . shirish left the film . He is working on sm thing else . Ho gaya clear ? Good ! Challo bye . Take care guys n nice,” Salman wrote on the micro-blogging site.
Salman Khan has previously worked with Shirish Kunder in Jaaneman in 2006. He also made a special appearance in Tees Maar Khan which was produced by Kunder.
It was Kunder himself who on Friday broke the news of his exit from Kick.
“Sajid Nadiadwala will be directing KICK. He had originally envisioned the project and I feel he is the best person to bring it to life,” Shirish Kunder wrote.
