After delivering a slew of flops, director Ram Gopal Varma is returning with the second part of Bhoot, a 2003 hit, which changed the way Bollywood made horror films. Ramu was proud of his work then, and now as he is all set to release Bhoot Returns let’s check out what to expect from the movie.
The first teaser of the film is out starring no one but spirits. Yes, and these apparitions are shown playing around a sofa set. So cute, they remind us of the popular child ghost Casper. But the purpose of the teaser is to spook you. Does it succeed in it? The CCTV footage in the teaser confirms that RGV has once again gone for an experiment. The background score (a nursery rhyme) sounds top notch.
The director has used the hand-held camera technique for Bhoot Returns, something that we have already witnessed in the Paranormal Activity series. However, when Ramu is in charge, be sure of the fact that the camera work in the film is going to be remarkable, until it gets too shaky as in Department.
Yesterday, the director released the first poster of Bhoot Returns. The use of optical illusion in it was praised by many, but there were some who found it naïve to be noticed. Likewise, the teaser has also received mix response from the movie buffs. If the fans of Ram Gopal Varma are raving about it, there are many who have criticized it for looking as another Paranormal Activity, and that there is nothing new in it.
Here’s the teaser of Bhoot Returns. Tell us what you feel about RGV’s latest attempt. Is it going to be better than Bhoot?
