Aamir Khan’s film Talaash is one of the biggest releases of the year, and thus the story of the film, which is a murder mystery, is a closely guarded secret. However, it is being pointed out that the movie, directed by Reema Kagti, has taken inspiration from an American novel.
Earlier, there was a strong buzz that the movie’s climax is similar to that of Vidya Balan’s thriller Kahaani, and now the fresh round of rumours has it that the storyline of the film is inspired by an American novel, titled An Act of Providence.
As a source points out, “One can’t help but notice certain similarities. Both the respective protagonists Inspector Shekhawat and Lucius Leffing are investigating a crime incident that takes place in and around a water body and both the protagonists are undergoing a personal crisis at the time of investigating their cases.”
The new promo of the film featuring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji has also highlighted the police officer’s (played by Aamir Khan) emotional turmoil. The crime scene, as seen in the trailer is a water body. Thus the similarities between the novella and the movie can be noticed in the promo as well.
To know the mystery of Talaash, one has to wait till November 30. As for now, there is not much happening on the movie’s front. The star cast of the film is busy with their other respective projects.
Up till now, the film has attracted its share of negative publicity, which even made Aamir Khan say in one of his interviews that there is someone who is spreading false rumours about the film.
