It’s rare for a music composer to become a lucky charm for films. The young and talented Yuvan Shankar Raja is witnessing such a phenomenon in Tamil cinema.
Yuvan Shankar Raja seems to have become a lucky mascot for films. When he featured in the music videos of Tamil films "Punnagai Poove" and Billa 2, both were box office hits. Now director Suseenthiran has roped in the composer for his upcoming Tamil movie "Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer".
"The director of the film has convinced Yuvan to do a music video," a source close to the film told IANS.
Suseenthiran has made "Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer" with newcomer Santhosh Ramesh and one-film-old Manisha Yadav and he certainly needs all the luck. The proposed date for the audio launch of the romantic drama is Oct 12.
In "Punnagai Poove", Yuvan Shankar Raja appeared in the song "En Kadhal" and it was a chartbuster. In "Billa 2", he was cast in the song "Gangster", shown towards the end credits of the movie.
The 33-year-old composer has also appeared in the opening few minutes of the song "Cheeky Cheeky" from Tamil film "Saroja".
Son of legendary musician Ilayaraja, Yuvan began his career at the age of 16 and has carved a niche for himself in Tamil and Telugu films. He has also sung over 80 songs.
