Sagarika Ghatge, whom you might remember as a pretty hockey player from Chak De India, plays Emraan Hashmi’s love interest in the movie Rush.
The first song the film, ‘Chup Chup Ke’, has Emraan and Sagarika snogging in the bed on a bright morning. “Pehle kabhi hua karti thi, dil se meri dosti. Pehle kabhi raha karta tha yeh dil mere paas hi” these words sung by Ash King but lip-synced by Emraan Hashmi open the song.
A few cozy moments between the hero and heroine later, the song suddenly shifts gear and turns into a Sufi track and Emraan and Sagarika Ghatge are shown driving through what looks like Goan roads on a jeep.
Then Emraan Hashmi takes her to their new home and no prizes for guessing it’s a swanky pad and Sagarika can’t stop gushing; later she feigns painting a portrait of Marilyn Monroe.
The song ‘Chup Chup Ke’ is composed by Pritam and makes for a pleasant listening.
Rush, directed by Shamin Desai, has Emraan Hashmi playing a news reporter. Sagarika Ghatge plays his wife, but their marriage turns out not so perfect. Meanwhile, Emraan takes a high paying job under the media tycoon Roger Khanna (Aditya Pancholi) and his friend Lisa (Neha Dhupia) both of who pull him into a game from which there’s no escape without violence and death.
