|Aishwarya Rai’s birthday on November 1 will be made special by the French government that will honour the Bollywood beauty with the second highest French civilian honour.
When Aishwarya Rai was felicitated with the Officer Dan Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Order of Arts and Letters), the second highest French civilian honour, by the French government in 2009, she couldn’t receive it because of her father’s sudden illness. Now, after three years, Aishwarya Rai will be receiving the award on her 39th birthday, that is November 1.
The new mum is expected to receive the French honour in the company of her entire family, and this time she even has with her the little daughter Aaradhya.
Aishwarya is not the first Indian to receive this French honour. Earlier, Shahrukh Khan was also honoured with the second highest French civilian award. Among Hollywood actors George Clooney and Meryl Streep have also received Order of Arts and Letters Award by the French government. Aishwarya is the youngest to be conferred with this honour.
Currently, Aishwarya Rai is busy being a mom, apart from doing commercials for her endorsements. She is even contemplating a Bollywood film, and confirmed during an interview that she is reading a lot of scripts. This month is also special for her because her daughter will turn a year older on November 16.
