Good news! Despite eating into each other’s business, both the Diwali releases Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son Of Sardaar have turned out to be hits at box office.
Jab Tak Hai Jaan, starring Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, entered the Rs. 100 crore club on Friday solely from its domestic collections of Rs. 101.16 crore nett from the eleven days’ run at box office. It may not have crossed the billion mark as fast as Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger did in August, the film nonetheless can be called a HIT.
Not just that, the box office collections of JTHJ from abroad are also formidable with a figure of Rs. 52 crore nett in the first ten days.
Son Of Sardaar, starring Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha, did steal away a lot of business from JTHJ at single screen theatres, but the film wasn’t as strong at multiplexes. The first ten-day collections of the film stand at Rs. 83.25 crore nett. The film might enter the 100 crore club next week.
