Working in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film is not easy for any actor, and Deepika Padukone is not leaving any stone unturned to impress the director of the film Ram Leela. Deepika is working hard for a role which was earlier offered to Kareena Kapoor.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela is touted as the desi Romeo Juliet soused in Gujarati flavor just like the director’s superhit Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Don’t know whether Sanjay wants his hero Ranveer Singh to be like Salman Khan, he does want Deepika to act and dance like Aishwarya Rai. Recently it was heard that Sanjay has asked Deepika to take a cue from Aishwarya’s dance number Dholi Taro , in which the actress performed an exemplary Garba. Deepika being a good traditional dancer will learn Garba for the film.

Since Deepika prepares herself for any role, she wants to play a perfect Gujarati girl and live up to the expectations of her director.

Sanjay presents his heroines beautifully in his films. He even shopped with the designer Anju Modi for the clothes for Deepika’s character, which is no uptown Gujarati girl, but a rural girl, and that’s why her costumes were sourced from remote areas like Bhoj, Mundra and Mandvi in the Gujarat's Kutch district.

As per sources, with all these preparations, Deepika wants to take her performance a notch higher. She earned her stripes playing the complex and feisty Veronica in Cocktail; let’s see what she will do in Ram Leela.
