|It seems Tiger Shroff has to wait for a leading lady in his debut film Heropanti. South siren Tamannaah has apparently been dropped from the project, and the hunt is on for another face.
It wasn’t that long ago when Tamannaah was finalized for Heropanti, which is the launch pad for Jackie Shroff’s son Tiger Shroff. But after pondering enough the makers decided to drop Tamannaah for a fresh face, one that can suit Tiger.
“Though biologically Tiger and Tamannaah are separated by only a few years in terms of career choronology, she's a veteran compared with Tiger…Her re-launch in Himmatwala is with Ajay Devgn who is twice Tiger's age. The Heropanti team decided she would look ill-matched with the debutant hero,” tells a source to a daily.
Also, Tamannaah is not new to Bollywood. She is from Mumbai, and started her career in the year 2005 with a film Chand Sa Roshan Chehra. The actress claims that she was just 14 at that time. Moreover, her career down south is flourishing with several hits to her credit. She has already done 13-14 Telugu films, and is considered to be one of the most sought after actresses in Telugu film industry.
So, in a way, to not cast her opposite the newcomer Tiger could be a smart choice. There were also rumours of Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty signing the film.
Tiger Shroff tells a daily, “I don't think any actress has been finalized yet. Not that I know of. I really have no clue. I am just busy with my own prep. I am not focused on anything else at the moment.”
Tamannaah, meanwhile, has no reason to mope over the loss. She has Himmatwala remake as her big ticket to Bollywood. After the movie releases, more doors will open to her.
