Kareena Kapoor’s father Randhir Kapoor hospitalized

Bollywood actor Randhir Kapoor was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday after he complained of chest pain and breathlessness.

Randhir -- Kareena Kapoor’s father -- was first kept under observation in the ICU of the hospital, but has now been shifted to a private ward. Reportedly, the 65-year-old actor is under the care of the senior physician Dr. Farukh Udiwala.

We hear that Randhir Kapoor has undergone several tests in the hospital. He’s now said to be doing fine, but there is no word yet as to when he will be discharged. The extended Kapoor family is concerned about his health, and has visited the hospital.

Randhir Kapoor was last seen in the comedy film Housefull 2 this year. Just two months back he was busy in the wedding preparations of his daughter Kareena Kapoor to Saif Ali Khan. And a fortnight back, he was seen walking the red carpet at the premiere of Talaash.

According to the Kapoor family, Randhir Kapoor is just undergoing normal tests prescribed by the doctor and there’s no cause for worry as of now.

Quite surprisingly, Randhir’s hospitalization mistakenly led many to believe that it’s Ranbir Kapoor who’s been hospitalized. But Ranbir’s mom Neetu Singh has scotched the rumours by confirming that her son is fit as a fiddle.
