When it comes to helping others, Salman Khan is anything but stingy. In the capital to promote his film Dabangg 2, the superstar took out time to lend financial support to the families of the martyred cops.
Salman has extended the help of Rs. 3 lakh each to the families of the cops who were killed while doing their duty. The actor personally handed over the cheques to the family members at a function held in Delhi.
When asked to talk to the gathering, Salman Khan was at a loss for words.
“I don’t know what to say on this occasion. I feel sad to know how the families have been coping through the emotional stress and financial crunch without their loved ones (martyred cops). I wish it hadn’t happened,” said Salman at the event.
Salman Khan also revealed his family connection with the police.
“My grandfather was the DIG Police of Indore. So I too am a son from a police family and that is why I have affection for the police force,” Salman said.
The superstar will himself be seen playing a happy-go-lucky cop in this Friday’s release Dabangg 2.
