Tired of seeing Sonakshi Sinha in desi looks? Time has come for a change! The young lassie might get a chance to finally shun her desi girl image to adopt a glam look for an 80s’ inspired special song in the new Himmatwala. Guess who’s her role model for the song? The yesteryear diva, Parveen Babi.
After matching steps with the talented choreographer Prabhu Deva in the Govinda song, it’s heard that Sonakshi Sinha is gearing for another sizzling track -- a glam appearance in Sajid Khan’s Himmatwala starring Ajay Devgn and Tamannaah.
As per reports, the song is titled, Thank God It’s Friday, and has been inspired by the discos of the 80s, with reflective dance floors, mirrors and all things shiny. The song will also feature 100 dancers.
The look and feel may remind the audience of the hit Jawani Jaaneman song from Namak Halal, in which Parveen Babi dazzled in gold, claim sources.
“Sajid has conceived of this lavish introductory song for which he wanted Sonakshi. She has a certain rustic image that she has been trying to break out of. Though she is proud of the roles she has done so far, this song seems like the perfect platform for her to attempt a makeover,” a source is quoted as saying by a daily.
To help Sonakshi be a glam doll, the ace designer Manish Malhotra will be doing her costumes, while Chinni Prakash has been roped in to choreograph the song. Sajid Khan doesn’t want to divulge many details, but he admits signing Sonakshi Sinha.
