There was a time when the producers absolutely swore by their magical onscreen pairing, and the duo sizzled together in as many as six films. Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s last film Tees Maar Khan was a BO dud, but the fans still love their combustible chemistry.
Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif are reportedly gearing up for the remake of South film Ramana. Producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been in talks for the remake with the makers of the South film for quite some time, and it seems things have finally worked out. South film director M Raja will direct the Hindi version.
“The initial talks are already done and the project is expected to go on floors by the end of the year. Shabina Khan (co-producer) and Akshay were keen that the film should have Katrina once again as their fans would love to see them getting back together on the big screen,” a source is quoted as saying by a tabloid.
Katrina Kaif, too, loves working with Akshay Kumar. They may not have done any movie together for almost three years now, but insiders reveal that the two are really keen to work with each other again. As per reports, they both have been rather busy with their respective films, but the two still keep in touch whenever they can.
Akshay and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have already delivered a blockbuster Rowdy Rathore last year. Let’s see what the confident team comes up with this time.
Ramana is a 2002 Tamil superhit, directed by the Ghajini fame A.R. Murugadoss. The blockbuster starred Vijaykanth and Simran. It was later also remade in Telugu as Tagore with Chiranjeevi in the lead.
