Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty was at Maha Kumbh on the day of the first shahi snan, and took three holy dips at Sangam which marks the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati.
Shilpa Shetty flew to Allahabad on a chartered plane with her parents, Surendra and Sunanda Shetty. It was her parents’ desire to visit the Maha Kumbh and Shilpa arranged for the trip. She wasn’t accompanied by her husband Raj Kundra, or her seven-month-old son Viaan.
“Took 3 very cold dips, brrrrrrr!! Officially, now I will attain moksh (salvation). Now back in Mumbai, can't wait to hug my son.. Long but fruitful day,” Shilpa Shetty posted on Twitter.
Shilpa explained that she took one dip for her son Viaan, another for her hubby Raj Kundra and the third one for herself.
Reportedly, Shilpa Shetty also visited Parmarth Niketan to meet Swami Chidanand Saraswati and she performed a havan with her parents.
Maha Kumbh is the biggest congregation of humanity on earth.
