Mahie Gill played the role of a conniving, bold ‘Biwi’ with utter ease and perfection in the movie Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster (2011), but more than her devious role, it was her hot avatar that received a lot of attention. Her backless blouses became the talk of the town.
The movie’s dare-bare poster, showing her naked back, conveyed a lot about Mahie’s character in the film, and won her accolades too. Now, as the makers are ready with Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns -- the sequel -- they, once again, are banking upon Mahie’s bare back.
Mahie will go dare-bare to promote the film. As per reports, a bare-backed Mahie Gill, lying on a bed, will greet the media at the first look launch of Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns.
“Mahie’s character in the first film received a lot of attention. She even got many compliments for her bold and backless blouses. And to make the audience relive those moments, the makers have decided to introduce the actress in the same look,” a source tells a tabloid.
The makers wanted to maintain continuity between the two films. Thus, there is no difference in the setting and the characters of the two films. The venue for the first look launch, will reportedly be designed as a palace as is in the film’ backdrop, and Mahie’s backless look in a saree will complement it.
Directed by the maverick Tigmanshu Dhulia, the movie will again have Jimmy Sheirgill as ‘Saheb’, Mahie Gill as ‘Biwi’ and the ‘Gangster’ this time is Irrfan Khan. |
