Indubitably, there’s a niche audience that absolutely loves horror films. Starring Jessica Chastain and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, the horror-mystery film Mama is all set to hit the Indian marquee on February 8.
Luckily, Mama has already released in some parts of the world and has generally garnered positive reviews; this should certainly encourage horror suckers. Mama is based on the namesake short film which reportedly spooked quite a many viewers.
Annabel (Jessica Chastain) and Lucas (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) decide to take the custody of Lucas’ young nieces who were left alone in the forest for five years. When their parents were killed, the two girls shockingly survived in a cabin for half a decade!
But the truth is, the two were not alone, for a mother’s love never dies! While mother is considered a tender loving figure, we hope Mama does not change the common perception. Wink.
The girls Victoria (Megan Charpentier) and Lilly (Isabelle Nelisse) play games with their dead mother and even laugh with her; but, the two never talk to others about her. All they keep saying is ‘Mama’.
Watch the spooky trailer of Mama below and let us know if you are brave enough to watch the film. PS: Don’t ask who Mama is!
