After Varun Dhawan, Ekta Kapoor has signed on the second Student Of The Year actor Siddharth Malhotra to play the lead in her new film The Villain. The onscreen lover boy will showcase his dark side in the new project.
"Proud to share another film of ours being launched. Sidharth Malhotra starrer, Mohit Suri director... 'The Villain'," Girish Johar, head of acquisition and distribution, Balaji Motion Pictures, tweeted Saturday.
Sidharth Malhotra, a former model, shared his excitement about the new project.
"Really excited about my new project with Balaji... Will be fun walking the dark side," Sidharth tweeted.
After making a successful debut with Karan Johar's Student Of The Year, the actor has been also been roped in to star in Hasee Toh Phasee, another Dharma Productions film.
Sidharth Malhotra's Student Of The Year co-star Varun Dhawan is also doing a Balaji film, a remake of Telugu film Kandireega. It will be directed by Varun's father David Dhawan. |
