The seed of their friendship was sown on the sets of Karan Johar’s film Student Of The Year. However, neither of them speeded up their amity into a romantic relationship. Both of them apparently wanted to take their time and test their friendship first.
According to sources, Alia and Varun were embarking on a career and they didn’t want themselves getting distracted by romance at the start itself. So they waited till the movie was complete and released. It was only then that they began to express their feelings to each other more openly.
The success of Student Of The Year must have further emboldened their hearts. Reports say that within a week of the film’s release and box office success, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt confessed their love.
The two decided not to make it public, but their romance has already become the talk of tinsel town.
