Shahrukh Khan already has legions of fans in India, the Middle-East, Europe and North America. Now, the superstar is eyeing Far East.
Bollywood craze seems to be on the rise in Japan. Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger premiered there recently and was met with a heartening response. Now, ready to work his charm in the land of the rising sun is none other than the charismatic Shahrukh Khan.
The coming days and weeks would see the release of three SRK-starrers in Japan.
Hitting the screens firstly would be Om Shanti Om, the debut film of Deepika Padukone and featuring Shahrukh Khan in a double role. The film will release on 15 screens on March 16 in Japan. It is titled Koi Suru Rinne Om Shanti Om in Japanese, where "Koi Suru" means falling in love while "Rinne" means reincarnation.
The film will premiere in Tokyo. Though Shahrukh isn’t expected to fly there for the premiere, the film’s director Farah Khan will grace the premiere.
Om Shanti Om would just be the beginning. SRK’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Don 2 are slated to release in Japan on April 20.
So far Rajinikanth has been the only Indian actor to enjoy a major fan following in Japan. We guess, Salman Khan and Shahrukh are soon going to take the legacy forward.
