Salman Khan’s 'Mental' won’t have item songs!
No raunchy items in Salman Khan’s 'Mental'?

A Salman Khan film is incomplete unless a hot siren jives to ‘Munni Badnaam’ or ‘Fevicol Se’. Right? Yes, it has been so thus far, but is going to change with the superstar’s next film Mental.

The film, being directed by Salman’s brother Sohail Khan, will apparently have no raunchy item songs that have become a staple for every Salman Khan fan over the years.

Mental is being described as a serious and “intelligent” film with no cheap frills to lure the audiences. However, that doesn’t mean that the film would be arthouse cinema with slow pace and dialogues few and far between. Mental will have all the ingredients of a Bollywood masala fare, after all that’s what Salman Khan’s fans lust for and that’s what he delivers them. But what it may not have is item numbers.

Salman, Daisy Shah, and Tabu flew to Dubai recently to shoot a few important sequences, including a song, for the film.

Meanwhile, given the buzz surrounding Mental, Sohail Khan is reported to be demanding a whopping sum of Rs 130 crore for all India theatrical rights of the film. Since all Salman Khan-starrers have been storming into the 100 crore club in the last few years, Sohail apparently thinks his expectation of Rs. 130 crore isn’t inordinate or unfair.

Well, let’s see if Sohail will strike a deal to match his expectations.
