It was bound to happen! The suggestive lyrics of Sunny Leone’s item track Laila have been changed to suit the TV audience at Censor Board’s behest.
Since the censor board is more stringent nowadays about the item songs in Bollywood films, the makers of Shootout At Wadala have to bear the brunt. The board has apparently raised objection to certain words in Sunny Leone’s item number Laila and won’t let it be aired as part of the film’s television promo as it is. Thus to meet the terms of the Censor board, the makers had to alter the lyrics.
For TV, the song Laila teri le legi has been changed to Laila teri loot legi. The revised version is already on air, but the original song is ruling the charts in the wed world for its peppy music and catchy lyrics.
Tanuj Garg, CEO of the production house confirms the news and says, “Yes, various modifications had to be made in the Laila promo at the behest of CBFC to get it aired on TV.”
The song Laila is the first item number of the Indo-Canadian porn actress Sunny Leone. Earlier the song was apparently offered to Bipasha Basu, but Bips couldn’t do it because the movie starred her ex-beau John Abraham. Then the makers finalized Sunny for the song, and she happily agreed to be a part of it.
Crooned by Mika Singh and Anand Raj Anand, the item song has Sunny in a hot desi look, seducing John Abraham and Tusshar Kapoor with her sassy moves.
