|Director Vishal Bhardwaj is said to be teaming up again with his Kaminey actor Shahid Kapoor for another film based on a Shakespearean play.
It’s known that things weren’t hunky dory between Shahid and Vishal after Kaminey as both had their share of differences during the shoot. Later, Shahid Kapoor even declined Vishal Bhardwaj’s Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola. But, now, according to sources, the two are on the same page, and are eager to work with each other.
“Vishal’s outing (Kaminey) with Shahid last time was a success. However they weren’t on very friendly terms as both had creative differences… But now all’s well between the two,” a source tells a tabloid.
As Vishal Bhardwaj loves making films on Shakespeare’s tragic dramas, the question is: which play is now on his wishlist? Some insiders claim that Vishal’s next could be based on Hamlet, while some believe it’s going to be King Lear.
Well, both the plays have strong storyline, and if Shahid Kapoor agrees to be a part of the film, based on any of these two works of the Bard, surely he will have a great role to play.
In the past, Vishal Bhardwaj has successfully adapted Shakespeare’s Macbeth to make Maqbool (2003), and later made Omkara (2006), seeking inspiration from Othello. Both films were critically applauded and were hits.
