Here are the numbers: Friday was comparatively better for the film with Rs. 6.24 crore; the collections slumped to Rs. 5.63 crore on Saturday; Sunday saw a marginal rise to Rs. 6.20 crore.
The total first weekend aggregate of the film comes at Rs. 18.07 crore which is clearly not at par with Emraan’s previous releases.
While the response to the film was decent in Mumbai and Delhi, the mass belt areas didn’t turn up the expected numbers. The reports have mostly been positive but the word of mouth has been mixed as the film tends to get slow in the second half.
Ek Thi Daayan would find it tough to keep pace during the weekdays.
