Producer Dinesh Vijan has roped in Deepika for a film, to be directed by Homi Adajania. The new movie is going to be in English as it is aimed at global audiences. It is reportedly titled Finding Fanny, and as the name suggests is set in Goa.
Dinesh has pulled off quite a casting coup for this film as he has got the budding heartthrob Arjun Kapoor to star opposite Deepika Padukone. The two will share screen space for the first time.
As the trend goes, the fresh-looking pair is the need of the hour, and almost every Bollywood filmmaker wants a unique couple. Barely one movie old, Arjun Kapoor has only romanced newbies till now. His next, Aurangazeb, too stars a new girl, Sasheh Aagha.
The movie Finding Fanny is based on a road trip and a major portion of it will be shot in India’s beach haven, Goa, claim sources.
Earlier, while discussing his future projects in an interview during Cocktail release, director Homi Adajania did talk about Finding Fanny. At that time he called the movie Finding Fanny Fernandes.
According to Homi, he wanted to make the film before Cocktail, but it couldn’t happen. The movie is actually a funny film, a satire on five “dysfunctional” characters, who set on a journey to find old postman’s childhood love, but get stuck.
Among the five characters, we now know of two -- Arjun Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. Who are the others?
