Sanjay Dutt turns a jolly police inspector in the upcoming comedy film Policegiri. ApunKaChoice brings you the film’s first look.
The first poster of the film has Sanjay Dutt holding two goons at gunpoint, while one of them hands out a wad of money. Dutt makes for a bindaas policewala, with tattooed arms, aviators in place, shirt pulled out, and the belt -- which presumably saw its use on the goons -- resting on his shoulder.
No Gundagiri, No Dadagiri, Only Policegiri.
The character is consistent with what Dutt has played in the films of ‘Munnabhai’ series. In the last film of the franchise, Lage Raho Munnabhai, for instance, he did Gandhigiri.
The actor has been slogging hard in the last few weeks to wrap up Policegiri. In fact, he recently completed the film’s dubbing in just three hours.
T.P. Aggarwal, the producer, is deeply impressed with Sanjay's professionalism in committing himself to the project, despite getting just a few weeks’ reprieve from the Supreme Court to surrender following his conviction and a five-year-jail sentence in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.
The actor’s review petition was declined by the Supreme Court last week and now he will have to surrender in the coming days.
