Nargis Fakhri couldn’t do Khiladi 786 with Akshay Kumar, but the forthcoming Shaukeen remake will see her romancing the dashing star. Yes, Akki is finalized opposite Nargis for the comedy film.
It’s confirmed now, Akshay Kumar will reprise the role of Mithun Chakraborty in the remake of Basu Chatterjee's 1982 classic comedy Shaukeen, while Nargis Fakhri will play the role of Rati Agnihotri. The movie is going to be directed by screenplay writer Rumi Jaffrey, who has written films like Golmaal Returns, Hero No. 1 and Judwaa.
"We will have Akshay and Nargis in the film… Nargis is talented, hence we cast her. Akshay is a brilliant actor and is good at entertaining people," Rumi is quoted as saying.
The makers of the film have bought the rights and to suit the sensibilities of today’s audience will alter the script. Rumi has confirmed that there are going to be a lot of changes.
