Ajay Devgn and Prabhu Deva are teaming up for a masala entertainer, and the film will have not one but three heroines.
Though there is a strong buzz that Prabhu Deva has signed Sonakshi Sinha as one of the leading actresses, nothing is confirmed yet. However, the director has indeed roped in the Vicky Donor actress Yami Gautam.
Yami Gautam has been signed to play one of the three heroines, and what helped her to bag the film is her upcoming Tamil movie. It’s learnt that Prabhu is mighty impressed with the actress, whom he noticed in the rushes of the Tamil film Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum. Yami plays the main lead in this movie.
It’s said that Yami Gautam seems to have struck it big after being signed opposite Ajay Devgn in his next film as till now the actress hasn’t done a full-fledged masala film.
Yami has already done a slew of South films, and in 2013, too, she has a few movies lined up. She is also doing the Bollywood project Hamara Bajaj.
After giving the blockbuster Rowdy Rathore last year, director Prabhu Deva wasn’t much keen on making south remakes, so he chose Ajay Devgn’s film, based on an original subject, over directing Akshay Kumar in the remake of the south hit Ramanna.
“My films also serve a social purpose. They're designed to be stress-busters. They make audiences forget their worries. Ajay Devgn's film too is a complete masala script, guaranteed to make everybody forget their worries,” says Prabhu Deva.
