One bad experience involving a touchy-feely fan has made Sonakshi Sinha stay away from promoting her films at malls.
It’s no secret that fans sometimes cross the line to express their admiration for their favourite stars. Some might even turn out to be perverts trying to get too close to the celebs for momentary pleasure. One such incident that happened last year has ticked off Sonakshi so bad that she’s sworn off promoting her two upcoming films Lootera and Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara in malls.
“I have nothing against malls. But the crowd can get unruly at times and on those occasions even the security guards are of little help. I had a pretty bad experience last year while promoting a film. Moreover, there are many other platforms available to promote a film,” Sonakshi Sinha is quoted as saying by a Mumbai tabloid.
It is believed that a crazy fan of Sonakshi’s got too close to her at a film promotion event in a mall last year and he even touched her inappropriately.
Keeping in mind Sonakshi Sinha’s apprehensions about promoting films in malls, Balaji Motion Pictures have kept malls out of the promotional strategy of both Lootera and Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara.
