|Sooraj Pancholi’s star-mentor Salman Khan is in no mood to slow down. The ‘Dabangg’ star, who is currently busy with his brother’s production, wants to start his film with Sooraj and Athiya Shetty as soon as possible.
Sooraj Pancholi met Salman Khan on Friday in Hyderabad. The boy was there with his father Aditya Pancholi. Salman acted as a guide, philosopher and friend to Sooraj, and advised him to let bygones be bygones and concentrate on his present. Sooraj is merely of 23, and is yet to start his career in Bollywood. Salman has asked him to hit the gym and start the preparations for his debut, the remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1983 blockbuster Hero, also featuring Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty.
Salman, who turned independent producer with Chillar Party, has thrown his weight behind Sooraj, the main accused in the Jiah Khan suicide case. Now without delaying the project further, Salman wants Sooraj to start with the film.
“Hero was supposed to begin shooting in January 2014. It will now start in November 2013. Salman has asked the entire team to get into a work-mode immediately,” a source is quoted as saying.
The film’s script has been re-worked to suit the contemporary times. Apparently, Laxmikant-Pyarelal’s chartbusters from the original Hero will be used in the film, and Sajid-Wajid would be asked to create some new songs. Salman will even ask Subhash Ghai to help with the music.
Last we heard, Sooraj Pancholi has started with his gym sessions and will start learning dance.
