On his birthday on Sunday, south star Dhanush announced his next project that will be produced by his home banner.
After the overwhelming success of recently released Tamil romantic-drama "Ethir Neechal", which was produced by Dhanush's home banner, the actor has decided to produce his yet-to-be-titled next project as well.
"Guys, glad to announce on my birthday that we just designed a project in Wunderbar Films, starring myself and Amala Paul," Dhanush posted on his Twitter page Sunday.
The film will be helmed by debutant director Velraj, who had previously worked as cinematographer in Dhanush's films such as "Polladhavan", "Aadukalam" and "3".
Composer Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in to take care of the music department, while the title of the film will be revealed soon.
As a producer, Dhanush struck gold with "Ethir Neechal", which was reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 5 crore. It earned over Rs. 30 crore at the box office.
Meanwhile, Dhanush has a very busy year ahead. While his Tamil project "Naiyaandi" with National award winning director Sargunam is coming to a close, he also has two more Tamil projects lined up.
He is also expected to team up with Raanjhanaa director Anand L. Rai again next year.
Dhanush celebrates 30th B'day in London
Southern actor Dhanush, who turned 30 Sunday, is celebrating his birthday in style in London with close friends from the industry.
Dhanush was accompanied by Tamil actors Sivakarthikeyan and Sathish.
"Soon after 'Raanjhanaa' success party, Dhanush left for London with friends to celebrate his birthday. He is planning to stay there for a few more days and will also be joined by music composer Anirudh Ravichander," a source close to the actor told IANS.
Anirudh, who was supposed to travel with Dhanush to London, had to stay back for the audio launch of his upcoming Tamil romantic-comedy "Vanakkam Chennai".
En route to London, Dhanush posted on his Twitter page: "On my way to London with my best (friends) for my 30th birthday. Anirudh (will) join us soon after audio launch."
Meanwhile, Dhanush's Hindi debut "Raanjhanaa" has entered the Rs.100 crore club, while his recent Tamil release Maryan is enjoying a decent run at the box-office.
