Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will reclaim his favourite Eid slot at the box office next year with the release of his actioner Kick.
The 47-year-old superstar may have missed his Eid date with the box office this year, but he will return with a vengeance in 2014.
Producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala who is helming Kick, says in a statement, “I am ecstatic to be directing Salman Khan, with whom I have shared a very good rapport over the years. Releasing the movie on Eid would be like cherry on the icing, as Salman has already proved his mettle with Eid releases and we hope to recreate the magic with 'Kick'.”
The shooting of Kick has already begun in Glasgow. Initially, Salman Khan was denied a visa to the UK and the shooting began with Randeep Hooda.
Salman has kept his date with Eid for the last four years, beginning with Wanted, then following it with films like Dabangg, Bodyguard and Ek Tha Tiger. This year, his Mental got delayed due to many reasons. So it was Shahrukh Khan who cashed in on the Eid weekend with his Chennai Express, which has smashed all box office records.
