Salman Khan gets only tourist visa for UK. Can’t shoot his film 'Kick'

The shooting of Salman Khan’s film Kick has hit a big hurdle right at the very start.
It’s been more than a fortnight since producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala commenced the shooting of the film in Glasgow, but its frontman Salman Khan still hasn’t canned a single shot. Firstly, the actor was denied visa to the UK. And when he applied later, he was given a tourist visa, even though he needs a work permit.
On tourist visa, Salman can visit the UK, but can’t shoot there.
Salman’s dad Salim Khan is quoted as saying by a leading daily, “My son has a tourist visa but he has not got the work permit yet. The shoot may have to be shifted elsewhere.”
The shooting of Kick began in Glasgow in the last week of July. Randeep Hooda canned a few action sequences.
Since then the unit has been cooling heels and waiting for Salman to arrive. The wasted days have burned a hole in the producer’s pocket and buzz is that Nadiadwala is thinking of bringing the unit back to India and start shooting here.
Apparently, Salman Khan has now applied for work permit in the UK, and reports say he may get one by Friday.
