Salman Khan is all set to turn a big producer! The actor is making a foray into filmmaking under the banner of his charity Being Human. He has greenlit the Hero remake and reportedly has plans to produce five more films.
Whoa! that’s quite a task he has taken. As per sources, the actor is in talks with several directors to make films for him. His Hero remake has been in the news for launching two newcomers, Sooraj Pancholi and Aathiya Shetty, and it’s said that Salman will leave no stone unturned to make the movie huge.
Other projects under Salman Khan’s Being Human Productions are said to be the remakes of two Marathi films Mahesh Manjrekar’s Shikshanachhya Aaicha Gho (2010) and Mi Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy (2009). A crossover movie Dr. Cabbie with Vinay Virmani is also in the making. Katrina Kaif’s sister Isabelle Kaif is making her debut with this film.
A period film with his good friend Puneet Issar is said to be in the pipeline too. It’s learnt that Puneet Issar’s film will star Salman Khan in the lead. The actor has also finalized the Hindi remake of the Punjabi blockbuster Jatt & Juliet to be co-produced by Himesh Reshammiya. The movie will star newcomers.
Salman Khan’s Being Human banner came into being with the kids’ movie Chillar Party (2011), which won rave reviews. Like his first production, Salman is keen to focus on ‘message films’ under this label, claim trade sources.
Salman’s dear sister Arpita Khan is expected to play a key role in his new company as a production-in-charge.
