Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor has been feted in the British House of Commons for her contribution to international entertainment industry.
Kareena was honoured by the Asian Sunday Newspaper and was presented a golden coloured plaque by the NRI MP Keith Vaz, who is the chairman of Britain's Home Affairs Committee.
Receiving the honour, Kareena Kapoor said, “UK has been one of my most favoured destinations. There has always been special relation between India and the UK and over the years the bond has become stronger.”
The 33-year-old actress has a special relationship with the UK as her great grandmother was British.
Kareena Kapoor is one of the leading actresses of Indian cinema and has worked in several blockbusters.
She was recently in Beirut with her husband Saif Ali Khan, who’s shooting director Kabir Khan’s Phantom there.
On professional front, Kareena is looking forward to the release of her next film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein.
