The film, starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, opened to a good response on Friday. It minted a decent Rs. 16 crore net, despite facing protests from some quarters and despite cancelled shows at some centres.
On Saturday, the business picked up by about 7.5 percent to notch Rs. 17.25 crore net as the day’s collection. Sunday saw another 11.5 percent rise with the day’s estimated collection of Rs. 19.25 crore net.
The first weekend aggregate approximately comes to Rs. 52.50 crore, which is a superb figure for a non-holiday, non-festive release. And let’s not forget that Krrish 3 still continues its triumphant march at the box office. By Sunday evening, the Hrithik Roshan starrer had raked in total Rs. 235 crore net to become the highest Bollywood grosser of all time.
