|Suchitra Krishnamoorthy’s tell-all book ‘Drama Queen’ has a few shockers, and one of them is the revelation that she proposed marriage to filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma.
The former actress-singer has worked with Ram Gopal Varma in films like Rann and My Wife's Murder. In her book that was launched a few days back (see photos here), Suchitra Krishnamoorthy has confessed that she once sent a message to RGV, asking him to marry her. “Ramu, will you marry me,” was her message. Suchitra got a tardy reply in which Ramu asked her for a one-on-one meeting.
In the meeting, Ram Gopal Varma turned down the offer. He told her that he’s not the marriage types and that he uses women only for their bodies.
According to Mumbai Mirror, this is how Ramu replied (as revealed in the book), “Suchitra I think you have misunderstood me. Completely. We are not similar at all. Never. I don't believe in the institution of marriage. I am just not the marrying kind. I use women only for sex and I am very sure that's not what you want. I like women's bodies but not their brains. In my opinion, a woman should be seen and not heard.”
Suchitra Krishnamoorthy has confirmed that the incident is true and also stated that’s she’s taken permission from Ram Gopal Varma to reveal it in her book.
