The dream run of the newest YRF release Dhoom 3 is continuing in the weekdays at both domestic box office and abroad.
The film, starring Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif, raked in Rs. 149.46 crore net at domestic box office till Tuesday (5th day since release) from all three Hindi, Telugu and Tamil versions.
The film’s performance at the box office overseas was equally impressive. As per trade figures, the film has minted Rs 84.11 crore net from its overseas collections. Toting up the two gives us the worldwide five-day collection of Dhoom 3 at Rs. 233.57 crore, which is unprecedented for any Bollywood film in the history of Indian cinema.
From UK to New Zealand and Australia, the response to the film has simply been amazing. In New Zealand, for instance, the film has become the Highest Bollywood Grosser of all time with Rs. 1.57 crore (after currency conversion).
In the UK, ‘Dhoom 3’ notched a whopping Rs. 12.62 crore by Tuesday. In Australia the five-day figure stood at Rs. 5.71 crore.
In USA and Canada, the response has been awesome. Till Monday the film had minted a little under Rs. 24 crore from North America.
In Dubai and the Gulf region, the film’s four-day total stood a little under Rs. 20 crore.
