|As predicted by ApunKaChoice, Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 has gone on to become the highest all-time grosser at the Indian box office, after beating Krrish 3 during this week.
'Krrish 3' which released on November 1 and is still running at a few centres, hogged the top spot with a Rs. 244 crore (and still counting) net at the domestic box office. Now, 'Dhoom 3' has broken that record and sped past 'Krrish 3' to become the all-time highest grosser. The film’s collections till Wednesday stand at a whopping Rs. 252.70 crore nett, as per trade figures.
Looking forward to 2014: Salman, Shahrukh, Madhuri, Aamir to rule the roost
Given that the film is still pulling crowds the footfalls aren’t expected to go down in the coming weekend, since there’s big Bollywood release.
Trade pundits opine that 'Dhoom 3' will touch the Rs. 300 crore mark in its third week run at the theatres.
The film, starring Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra has been smashing one box office record after another at not just domestic box office, but abroad as well.
This Friday would see the release of Sholay 3D and Mr Joe B. Carvalho, starring Arshad Warsi and Soha Ali Khan. The next week would see the release of Dedh Ishqiya and Yaariyan.
