Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s latest release Jai Ho has turned out to be a box office disappointment, by and large. A week after its release, it is still struggling to reach the 100 crore mark at domestic box office.
The film, directed by Sohail Khan and starring Daisy Shah, Tabu, Danny Denzongpa and Sana Khan, is far from being labeled a blockbuster. After a Rs. 60.68 crore net weekend, the film added another Rs. 22.60 crore in the first three weekdays to take the six-day tally to Rs. 83.28 crore at the Indian box office.
“Thank u to all the fans who have seen JAI HO n liked it , I totally appreciate it guys . U been wonderful . God bless .(sic)” Salman tweeted.
Trade pundits expect the film to reach the 100 crore mark at Indian box office in the coming weekend. Taking into account the *worldwide gross* figures, the film made it past the 100 crore milestone in the opening weekend itself.
'Jai Ho' faces little competition from this week’s release One By Two.
