Good news for Kareena Kapoor! Her movie Bombay Samurai is not shelved, as the buzz recently suggest, but just postponed.
As per reports, the script of the movie is currently being reworked upon, and that’s the reason the film has been postponed to next year. Director Dev Benegal is also too occupied with personal commitments to start the film. So even though Kareena Kapoor is excited to team up with Farhan Akhtar for Bombay Samurai, the lady will have to wait as the movie is not going on the floors anytime soon.
Moreover, Farhan Akhtar is not only acting in the film, but also producing it. “Benegal showed Farhan the film’s script and he liked it so much that he wanted to produce it. But now the script is being re-worked upon and this has delayed the project,” a source is quoted as saying by a tabloid. If all goes well, Bombay Samurai will roll next year in January.
Bombay Samurai is also a special film for its makers. Touted as a ‘wacky’ film, it’s going to be an international flick -- a first of its kind. According to Kareena, the movie will see an international release apart from that in India.
Currently, Kareena has only Singham 2 in her kitty besides her husband Saif Ali Khan’s Happy Ending, in which she plays a cameo. Her film Shuddhi is already stuck in limbo.
