Sonakshi Sinha has mostly donned desi looks in her films, and will flaunt a similar look in her Tamil debut opposite Rajinikanth.
Sonakshi Sinha, who is supposed to start the film by May first week, will sport a look from the 40s. It’s being said that the actress was given a choice for two roles in the film. One was of a modern girl and another of a girl next-door from a bygone era, and Sonakshi selected the latter. She will play the girl from the 40s.
"The role picked by Sonakshi is meatier. The film's director Ravikumar too thought that she is well suited to enact the role of the girl from the 40s,” a source is quoted as saying.
The movie will also feature South siren Anushka Shetty as the girl of modern times. While Sonakshi will play Rajini’s love interest, Anushka will be paired opposite the Rajini of today. The two characters do not have any scenes together, claim sources.
Sonakshi Sinha’s wardrobe for the movie is almost ready. The actress will be seen mostly in typical South Indian half sarees.
Like Kochadaiiyaan, Rajinikanth’s next is also going to be a period drama, written and directed by KS Ravikumar, who has also penned the story and screenplay of Kochadaiiyaan. A R Rahman will compose the music in the film.
