All’s well that ends well. Director Sajid Khan may have faced tons of flak for his latest film Humshakals, but what matters at the end of the day is the box office figure. On that front, Humshakals has fared very well in its first four days.
After the Rs. 40.13 crore opening weekend at the Indian box office, the film did slump on Monday with the day’s collection of Rs. 5.10 crore net, which is more than a 60 percent fall from Sunday’s collection.
But producers Vashu Bhagnani and Fox Star Studios aren’t worried. With Rs. 45.23 crore net in four days, the film is in safe zone, given that a substantial chunk of money has already been recovered from the sale of satellite and music rights.
Director Sajid Khan and the leading cast are happy that the movie has performed so well at the box office, despite being slammed by the critics. In fact, a success celebration party has been planned on Tuesday evening. Everyone in the cast except Bipasha Basu (who has dissociated from the film) will be invited.
The coming Friday would see the release of Ek Villain. The film is riding high on buzz and expected to take a good opening. ApunKaChoice will keep you updated.
